Frequently asked questions: Day trips and activities

What is the best day trip from Marrakech?

It depends on what you are after. For nature, the Ouzoud waterfalls or the Ourika Valley; for the sea and a medina, Essaouira; for desert scenery close by, Agafay. If it is your first visit, Essaouira and Ouzoud are the most requested.

Can you see the Sahara desert in a day from Marrakech?

Not with sand dunes. Merzouga is many hours away by road and you need at least 3 days. In one day you can visit the Agafay desert, which is stony, or Aït Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate on a long day.

Do the day trips include hotel pick-up?

Yes, we normally pick you up at your hotel or at a point close to your riad, as many riads in the medina have no vehicle access. We confirm the exact point when you book.

Can't find the right trip?

Tell us your dates, how many people are travelling and what you'd like to see. Within 24 hours we'll send you a route and a price.
